At Lawnton Aquatic Centre we offer a range of activities and cater to a variety of community and school groups within our aquatic space. We aim to have at least two lap lanes available to the public during all pool opening hours Monday to Sunday (subject to event bookings).

During peak times our program pool and learn to swim pool is home to our GOswim Swimming and Water Safety Lessons, spaces will be limited during these times. Event or school bookings may see limited or no public access during specific times, notice of this will be shared across our website and social channels in advance.

50m Pool Closures

Our 50m pool is available to the public at anytime during our opening hours unless specified in our Lap Lane Availability sheet above.

Mon – Thurs: 5:30am-7:00pm

Fri: 5:30am-6:00pm
Sat: 5:30am-5:00pm
Sun: 8:00am-5:00pm

Winter
Mon – Fri: 5:30am-6pm
Sat: 5:30am-3:00pm
Sun: 8:00am-3:00pm

In the event of a storm, our lifeguards will evacuate the pools for safety until the storm has passed. For your protection, we adhere to a strict policy of waiting 30 minutes after each lightning strike before allowing anyone to return to the water. Your safety is our top priority.

If the 50m pool is booked for an event, it will be closed to the public for the duration of the carnival. However, you are welcome to use the indoor pool, subject to availability, during this time. Please be sure to check the availability of both the lap lanes and the 25m pool before coming down for a swim.

Our 50m pool is heated year-round to a comfortable 27.5 degrees. During the summer months, the temperature may increase if we experience extended periods of hot weather. We aim to maintain a pleasant swimming environment for all our visitors.
